This low rise cast aluminum intake shows the luster of a finished polished surface. Deep grooves like shown are difficult to get chrome coverage. Here we successfully plated and polished down into a 3 Inch deep by 1 Inch wide crevice. Part of our process is to cap and cover the holes so no chrome is built up in the areas you don't want it. Our custom designed anode created full chromed surface from top to bottom of the part. Each custom designed feature had to be kept within a specified tolerance of the part for chrome coverage and conform to the intake. For improved plating, we insulated the top of the anode and used multiple clamps to conduct increased current. The end product is the result of meticulous time spent in the design of the custom anode and extensive polishing efforts.
